The Online Dating Revolution

I was recently approached by a family member to assist one of my cousins who is ready to tackle the chaotic world of dating. Now I'm not talking about being a wing man or some kind of chaperon. My job would be simply to help navigate the many online dating resources that exist and secure her computer as she is not very technically savvy.

It has long been my personal debate that if I was single and not happily married, I would totally enter the realm of online dating as a reliable resource for meeting a suitable companion. (That and Addition Elle)
I believe that if approached correctly in a controlled fashion, Internet dating can be a viable alternative to more traditional approaches like clubs, bars, gyms and churches. Especially since it's now a socially acceptable medium for meeting singles...I've been able to witness this first hand through a close friend of mine that found success via trial & error through the site 'another fish in the sea'.

At the end of the day, we're all just looking for like minded individuals with similar interests and values. Now with the advent of social networking technology and sophisticated online dating sites, we're all just a little bit closer and maybe just a little less alone:)
