As a Nokia Lumia900 Windows Phone 7 user, I am very excited about the below v7.8 leak posted by 'Trusted Reviews'. Come on MS...let's get this update out the door already!
RPM
An update to take existing Windows Phone handsets to version 7.8 is due in the next few weeks, according to leaked details seen briefly on the Italian Windows Facebook page.
The now-deleted information was spotted by BetaNews, which did a rough translation and says that the Windows Phone 7.8 update will be released shortly after Windows Phone 8 devices appear on the market. Those are due in early November so on this basis, BetaNews thinks the upgrade for older phones may happen later in November or December.
The update will add new functions, which may keep some users happy, as many Windows Phone 8 features will not work on pre-existing legacy Windows Phone 7 devices.
