Sony PS4 Priced at $399, Won't Require Online Connection

Things just got interesting in the video game world...

Summary:
·       As expected, E3, the world’s biggest videogame conference, is dominating the news this week and the console wars has taken centre stage
·       Any positive attention Microsoft hoped to get with the new Xbox One quickly evaporated after announcements about the Sony PS4 and it sounds like an exclusive deal for the popular game Halo isn’t enough to keep gamers interested
·       Social media like Reddit and Twitter are all declaring an end to the console wars after Sony appeased gamers with the following features:
o   $399 price tag ($100 cheaper thank Xbox One)
o   No always online requirement for single-player games/online game authentication (vs. 24-hour daily online requirements for Xbox One)
o   500GB hard drive (comparable to Xbox One)
o   Plays used games (unlike Xbox One—I’m sure Game Stop is happy about this!)
·       We’re interested to see how long it takes Microsoft to change their policies or change their price point.
